The Orphans are a kick-ass band. Mike the guitarist forged this band in the mid-90's, when there were no bands playing to the young and hip immigrant crowd. Known then as Cooky Conspiracy they got the kids dancing with their hard-edged brand of runglish lyrics and rockish guitar-based muzak. Having gone through several line up-changes and self produced CD releases, Mike still rocks around now under the name Orphans. Zhenya Gavrilets jined the band on vocals and keyboards, and she can really wail. Don't miss.
